On the 27th of November at the Excelsior Hotel Gallia was held the Gala evening to declare the winners of the 2017 edition of the MFA - Mission Fleet Awards (https://missionfleetawards.it/) that saw OCME receive an award in the category "Fleet manager of the year: mobility and driver welfare".
MFA is the first and only Italian award dedicated to the corporate business sector by an editorial company.
The initiative puts in competition, and highlights, the most important operators in the sector and the best Fleet Managers of the companies, which are judged by fellow fleet managers and representatives of the specialized press.
At the award ceremony, the jury congratulated and thanked Christian Marcello, OCME’s Facility Manager, stating that
"The project is perfectly integrated in the territory, very attentive to alternative solutions for transport, but always focused on driver and on company welfare."
"This recognition is the result of many years of commitment by the company and sensitivity to the employees needs for responsible transport," explains Christian Marcello. "We have worked in partnership with local transport companies and public institutions (Comune di Parma TEP and Infomobility) ) so that there is a cost reduction on Public Transport to incentivize it’s use by employees.
Along with a comprehensive mobility program that aims to help our colleagues reduce their car's CO2 emissions, we have also adopted the company fleet of greener means of transportation supported by a recharging column for electric power vehicles available to private vehicles of employees, achieving savings of 37% in CO2 emissions compared to the previous fleet. "
OCME's commitment to sustainability is not limited to those issues, but they are part of a corporate social responsibility strategy that also includes other initiatives to reduce fuel consumption and emissions at the Parma headquarter and to reduce the ecological footprint result from waste management.
