OCME owes part of its success to the local area where it was born and developed and has decided to undertake various initiatives to support the area and local community.
This wish led us to support Polisportiva Gioco and their activities focused on the integration of disabled people through sport.
The Polisportiva Gioco Parma ONLUS association was established in 1983 inside the “Don Gnocchi Center” in Parma with the aim to develop the psycho-physical well-being of people through social integration and sports tailor-made for the disabled person.
It soon became one of the most important sports clubs in Italy and counts among its discipline’s basketball, canoe-kayak, hockey, sitting volley, hand bike, swimming, and dance.
The appointment, where the association is involved, was in the organization of the final of the 3rd Inter-Regional Open Rotary Cup Fipav-Crer of Sitting Volley, where 8 finalist teams competed for the trophy.
The Parma team, which on this occasion will take the field with the OCME jersey, will challenge teams from other parts of Italy to win the prestigious title.
A day full of competitive spirit and a good game, but also a sport festival to enhance the culture of sharing positive values.
Carlotta Gatteschi, OCME Vice-President said:
"Our company is strongly focused on foreign markets, but this does not mean we should forget the bond with our local area. It has given us so much, allowed us to grow and become a company world leader in the packaging sector. Therefore, we want to support this local initiative which combines the positive values of social inclusion with sports "
Marco Tagliavini, Polisportiva Gioco president, said
“We believe this is another great step on the path of change for our association.
We like to think that to convince OCME, its management and its shareholders, was not only our great message, but also the modern way in which we manage activities. In addition, the determination to always return something to our partners.
Thanks again to OCME for believing in us. "
