OCME has always stood out for its continuous attention to innovation in packaging and robotics sectors, thanks also to the constant attention paid to the young talents that are formed in universities and local technical institutes.

With the introduction in the Technical Institutes of innovation centres and technical-scientific Committees, composed equally by teachers and external experts, synergies and training alliances have been created that are increasingly direct, effective and indispensable to strengthen the link between the educational objectives of the school, scientific research, technological innovation, the needs of the production world and the needs of the territory.

OCME has decided to become part of the scientific technical committee of the ITIS "Leonardo da Vinci" institute of Parma, both to give its support in expanding and better focusing on the training they offer to young people in the area, but also in anticipation of future possibilities of work and study.

In fact, OCME has been involved in numerous initiatives by ITIS, making a contribution, such as the inauguration of the redevelopment of the Great Hall of the School on 30th November, also in participation with the management of the public meeting of "La notte di Leonardo"

"La notte di Leonardo " is an annual event that ITIS organizes in collaboration with some local companies and this year, due to its importance, has also been included in the Festival of Technical Culture of the Emilia-Romagna Region.

At this event, which took place on December 14th, OCME was present with a special exhibition, where it presented to the youth the new interactive technologies developed to support After Sales (eg Hololens, MyOCME App, etc.) with extraordinary success among students, happy to be able to encounter a leading company in the area, in view of a future career path.

During the meeting, Dr. Carlotta Gatteschi, vice-president of OCME, and Eng. Enrico Aureli, CEO of OCME and president of Ucima (Union of Italian manufacturers of automatic machines for packaging), declared:

"We are in the heart of the Packaging Valley and we proudly bring "made in Italy" to the world. To excel globally we need high-level people who must be trained in our schools in the best way possible ".

At the same time, Ocme joined "Talking Teens - Le Statue Parlano!" Initiative, with conviction and enthusiasm. This project has been created to bring students closer to culture, involving over 300 students from schools in Parma and its province.

Within this project OCME "adopted" the statue of Enzo Sicuri, a character very dear to the “parmigiani” who died in the late 80s.

"We have joined the project - underlined Carlotta Gatteschi - because we want to return to being protagonists in our city. “II Màt Sicuri” is a symbolic character of Parma, which testifies to the value of acceptance and openness to the different ".

A collaboration that has given us the opportunity to make ourselves known in the territory and to attract young people to our sector.
