When required, they will also perform internal inspection and commissioning activity at the client’s workplace.

HMI development will involve starting master standards for which the required customisations will need to be developed.

The technician will also need to collaborate with their SW  automation colleagues for the analysis and joint development of the machines and/or systems sold.

We are looking for a TRAVELLING TEST TECHNICIAN to join our Field Engineering department in our HQ at Parma, Italy.

Role:
The Travelling Test Technician reports directly to the Field Engineering Manager and is responsible for the testing and installation of machines at the premises of major clients, mostly international.

The ideal candidate will have good English skills and be willing to travel in Italy and abroad for around 160-180 days per year.

The resource will work on palletizing and depalletizing systems, both traditional and robotic.

Placement:
This is a permanent role which requires the completion of an initial training period.

Salary is based on experience, with generous travel expenses provided.

Responsibilities:

  • the functional testing of machines and/or systems in house, to ensure that they are shipped in perfect compliance with internal orders;

Responsibilities:

  • Functional testing of packaging machines and/or systems, within the company and at provincial facilities to ensure that they are shipped perfectly in accordance with internal orders;

  • Training to Field and production staff and new employees (so as to contribute to the technical growth of the staff);

  • Close collaboration with Technical Department to report feedback during internal testing.

Role:

The role of Electronic Software Designer, who reports directly to the Automation Manager,

involves order software development for machines in the Packaging sector and, when required, internal inspection and commissioning activity at the client’s workplace (availability is required for about 50/60 days per year of travel).

SW development for the machines will involve starting master standards for which the required customisations will need to be developed.

The technician will also need to collaborate with the mechanical and electrical office for the analysis and joint development of the machines sold. The role also includes the study of new solutions and R&D projects.

In particular, the role includes a focus on complex systems for the handling of products (transport of packages and pallets) with traceability logic; in this context, all the development phases of the plant will be followed; the Sales Engineering Department will be supported during the definition of the layout and operation of the plant, it will collaborate with the Mechanical Technical Office and Hardware Technical Office during the design phases participating actively in the choice of components and solutions to be adopted; it will be responsible for software development and then support the testing technicians in the internal testing and start-up by the customer.
