The food sector plays a strategic role for Aetna Group, as evidenced by its participation in CFIA Rennes 2025: a leading exhibition for the agri-food industry which will be held from 4 to 6 March 2025 at the Parc Expo in Rennes, France.

At Stand 10-G1, with its main brands Robopac and OCME, Aetna Group will present the latest innovations in the end-of-line segment. All this consolidates its role as a technology partner thanks to a complete offer ranging from secondary packaging to internal logistics systems,  integrating all automation technologies.

Now in its 28th edition, CFIA Rennes returns to Parc Expo more innovative than ever, interpreting the demands of a highly interesting and extremely dynamic market. With a 50,000 square metre exhibition area (which will accommodate more than 2,000 exhibitors), the French event turns the spotlight towards the increasingly relevant environmental, social and economic challenges, with a pavilion dedicated to the important issue of food safety.

The food industry is a strategic sector for the group (based in Castel San Pietro Terme, Bologna). In fact, this is a field in which the company invests through new acquisitions and the development of new and increasingly customer-oriented technologies. All this to offer its end users the best production performance.

Of primary importance is the presence in Décines of the subsidiary Aetna Group France. In fact, this is instrumental in ensuring a high level of commercial presence and after-sales service. These dynamics are part of a consolidated entrepreneurial logic which is evident in the One Global Company policy guiding the group's evolution. The high-quality standards of products and services (offered throughout the world) are in perfect harmony with the knowledge and respect for the different territories and sectors. This is the result of a tailor-made approach that has made the Aetna Group reliable and recognisable internationally.

Among the technologies on show at CFIA Rennes, semi-automatic technologies will be in the foreground. The first of these will be Robot S7, the latest generation self-propelled packaging machine with stretch film for packaging of any shape and weight. Nevertheless, the entire segment will be a key player, with an increasingly sustainable approach and innovations that highlight the cutting edge of cellulosic material management. In addition to the use of traditional film, the wrapping process now incorporates compostable film, recycled film, and even recent applications using paper. A significant step forward that underlines the ongoing commitment of the Aetna Group (including the Robopac and OCME brands) to promote not only the use of plastic film but also alternative materials, favouring diversified solutions.

Among the best sellers is also the range of automatic machines with a special focus on Palwrapp, the palletiser with an integrated wrapping machine. The compact design of this device makes it ideal for use in a wide range of food industries.

Also worth highlighting are the Prasmatic Robopac Packers series of case packers and shrinkwrappers. These offer solutions specifically designed for the food sector:

  • stainless steel structure for dairy industry;
  • tray stackers for packaging cans;
  • label orientator for cans that enables the creation of packages optimised for shelf visibility. This leaves the primary packaging brand clearly visible and eliminates the need for printed films or multipacks, resulting in secondary packaging savings.

In addition to packaging solutions, Aetna Group will also be exhibiting internal logistics technologies with innovative AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) from OCME and Robopac. These are designed to optimise material handling between the end of the line and the warehouse, increasing efficiency and productivity throughout the supply chain.

With an offer capable of adapting perfectly to the needs of the food industry - demonstrating the flexibility necessary to adapt to the dynamics associated with the varying timings, formats and requirements of each segment - Aetna Group confirms itself as a point of reference in the food sector, guaranteeing production efficiency, packaging quality and cost optimisation.
