In October 2024, Aetna Group inaugurated its second plant in Jiaxing, China. Exactly one year later, Aetna China opens the doors of the new Techlab with an event dedicated to customers and partners.
The Techlab represents a fundamental step in the Group’s development strategy. This facility joins the other five laboratories already operating worldwide in Italy, Spain, Germany, the United States, and Brazil, expanding the global network and enabling Chinese and Southeast Asian customers to benefit from this innovative and highly competitive service. Equipped with certified tools and procedures for carrying out practical tests, the Techlab allows optimization of pallet load stabilization, reducing plastic film usage while ensuring greater stability.
During the Open House on October 30, visitors will be able to attend live tests on real products and case studies, experiencing firsthand the value of the solutions developed by the Group. With over 9,000 tests already carried out in Techlabs worldwide, Aetna Group has demonstrated how applied research and innovation can translate into competitive advantages for companies: from increased safety of palletized loads to significant economic and environmental savings.
The Techlab integrates into a constantly growing production context. Thanks to the 2024 expansion, Aetna China is now able to produce up to 150 machines per year, including wrap-around case packers, shrink wrappers, automatic stretch wrappers, and palletizers. The plant also hosts the assembly of semi-automatic wrapping machines, a spare parts warehouse, a team of designers, and an efficient after-sales service to ensure complete support for local customers even after the installation and commissioning of production lines.
With two plants covering a total area of 8,500 square meters, about 150 highly qualified employees, and a permanent showroom dedicated to packaging and end-of-line solutions, Aetna China today stands as a benchmark for the country’s manufacturing industry. The addition of the Techlab further strengthens this central role, providing companies with concrete tools to tackle the challenges of modern logistics and contributing to the sustainable development of production supply chains.
With this implementation, Aetna Group consolidates its strategic presence in China and Southeast Asia, reaffirming its commitment to supporting local customers with cutting-edge technologies and specialized expertise.
