The attention on energy sustainability and technological evolution of production and management process is one of the main objectives of OCME, which, since November 2020, is officially part of the European project E2COMATION, financed as part of the Horizon2020 innovation and research programmes.
This project has been entrusted to the CNR through the CNR-STIIMA institute (Institute of Intelligent Industrial Systems and Technologies for Advanced Manufacturing).
This is an important project that lasts 42 months (end date: April 30, 2024) and with a total value of over 10.5 million euros, which sees the participation of 18 partners from 9 countries committed to facing the optimization of energy consumption of a production process at multiple hierarchical levels, analyzing the entire life cycle of the product within its value chain.
E2COMATION will provide an intersectorial methodological framework and a modular technological platform that will operate mainly through the process analysis of two different chains: woodworking and food&beverage, with the simultaneous study of 5 industrial cases.
OCME will play an active role in all the operability linked to the definition of requirements and architectural aspects, coordinating the implementation and validation activities of the use cases expected for the food&beverage sector.
